WAPA TAPA is a family-run tapas restaurant bar located within the heart of the legendary Yumbo Centre in Playa del Inglés (Gran Canaria) and strives to offer an ever-evolving and imaginative mix of speciality Spanish and international tapas and a balanced selection of Spanish wines and international drinks at best value for money.

The business was founded by Adrian Leared and Carlos Andrade in 2012 and first opened its doors in January 2013, a short distance away from the current premises.

Our philosophy ‘tapas con corazón’ or ‘tapas with heart’ is at the core of everything Adrian and Carlos and their staff do, both in and out of the kitchen, and has enabled us to develop special and ongoing relationships with our customers from both home and abroad.

Our brand new restaurant bar has been built to our own design and specifications and promises to deliver the same intense tapas experience as the previous one but in a more comfortable and contemporary setting and with significantly enhanced COVID-19 social distancing capabilities.
